Unfortunately, we will not be able to avoid production shortfalls due to expensive energy prices. Expensive energy is changing the market for greenhouse vegetables within Europe.
Tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers account for about half of all vegetable spending in the Czech Republic, but the future situation for the entire greenhouse sector in the Czech Republic is very uncertain. Everything depends on the need for cheap heat so that we can be competitive with the southern countries or North Africa.
